Did someone here managed to install successfully Winter Assault? I can’t play Winter Assault :(! It says “Your installation appears to be corrupt”. Did I do something wrong?
Here is step by step of what I did:
1) Extract the collection of Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War.
2) Install the original W40K: Dawn of War.
3) Deactivated real-time protection and all firewalls of Windows Security.
4) Downloaded the patch pack of the updates and installed them one by one until 1.40 (The 1.30 to 1.40 patch seemed messed for me, maybe it’s that)
5) Both Winter Assault CDs are in BIN and CUE formats, so I extracted the files from both CUE files with CDMage into separated folders (CD1 & CD2).
6) Then I put the files from both folders together into a single folder, because when I tried to install WA in a separated folder (CD1), there was an installation error of a missing file that I noted it was located in CD2. Both folders have an “Autoexe” file; I kept the file from CD1. (Maybe this too?)
7) And then I installed a No-CD patch or crack for the original W40K: Dawn of War because I can’t play it without it. (This maybe?)
8) “Your installation appears to be corrupt. Please re-install both Dawn of War and Winter Assault” :((
The original Dawn of War works! Dark Crusade works! Winter Assault is the only one not working for me! Please help :((!!

There are three method to change game language, first is from game options (if available), second is from language changer (if available), third is by edit language line in .ini file (example steam_api.ini or steam_emu.ini or codex.ini or skidrow.ini or 3dmgame.ini) if your windows hide the common extensions, the name of file will be without the ini, example “steam_api”. the icon looks like a txt file icon). If these don’t work, then I don’t think there are other ways.
can’t install the expansion packs. it says this game need patches but i don’t see any patches

nevermind, “The game won’t install if you have a no-CD .exe on your DOW folder, here is what you have to do.
Go to the CD1 of DOW (not WA) and copy the W40k.exe from the Data1.cab file into your directory (you may also do a full unninstall and re-install the game clean). That should work.” found this comment from torrent, and this is works to install the expansion packs
Buddy, did you changed the W40.exe before or after installing Winter Assault?
