Did you get a folder named “HOODLUM” after mounting the ISO file?
yes
Did you copy the “game.dat” file from folder HOODLUM and paste it in the game installation directory?
Look into the game install folder again to make sure it’s there (and also other files from the HOODLUM folder)
Also you can try to run the game in Compatibility mode as Windows 7: Right click on the game, choose “Properties”, select “Compatibility” tab, check the box next to “Run this program in compatibility mode for:”, select “Windows 7” in the dropdown box, click “OK”.
