You can but I think the version you already had might have to be cracked by CODEX.

When I try to run this game, it doesnt recognize my controller. I use a nintendo switch pro controller with better joy and bootcamp on a mac. This is with dark souls 2 SOTFS the only games which don’t recognize my controller. For example my controller works with Dark souls 1 and 3 and Elden ring.
Any solution? Others people have this problem? Any mod?
The only thing I can say is to try a controller emulator :((

for the 2nd question, the crack will alert your windows defender / antivirus app as a virus but it might also be that the file also contains viruses so I can’t say 100% this or 100% that

You should have a folder named “CODEX” after mounting the ISO file, if you don’t, mount the ISO file again with your antivirus app off so it can’t delete the folder.

For your problem, remember to turn off your windows defender & antivirus app so that they don’t delete any files.

We also found that they might had blocked ip from some countries or their system are having some errors, try use VPN if the other method doesn’t work, just some free ones or the VPN on Opera web browser.
