so common that I can’t get games to run that use Unity or some similar game engine. The files just extract to the base directory and there’s a bunch of folders missing so the game can’t find any of its assets. am I doing something wrong or what? why package a game like this and not include its file tree?
the file is heavy so it has to be divided into smaller parts so other people can download it easier
did you extract both parts together like this?: https://youtu.be/OtgocG6x8mA
Yes, extraction is no problem. After extracting, there is and executable, bonus artwork pdf, etc. no installation is necessary for this title. The problem is that the game can’t find any of its assets. There should be some folders; one of which is ‘binaries’ where Phoenix-Win64-shipping.exe is supposed to be located. All the files included just exist in a single directory together, so the game won’t launch because it can’t locate its assets.
I haven’t the TENOKE version. Maybe the problem doesn’t exist in that one.
I love your site, by the way. Keep up the excellent work and thanks for the response.
oh :((
thanks for your support, try the TENOKE version though :((
I can confirm that the TENOKE version is working. It has an installer and all the files are in their proper directories and thus have a functioning file tree/hierarchy.
Again, for some reason I have had this issue with a number of games that use the Unity engine; the files will all be together in a single folder/directory and the game is unable to function due to being unable to locate its own assets.
Thanks for the response and have a great day.
Thanks for telling me this, nice to hear that the TENOKE works though ^^
