Garry’s Mod is developed by Facepunch Studios and published by Valve. It was released in 29 Nov, 2006.

Garry’s Mod is a physics sandbox. Unlike regular games there aren’t any predefined aims or goals. We give you the tools and leave you to play.

You spawn objects and weld them together to create your own contraptions – whether that’s a car, a rocket, a catapult or something that doesn’t have a name yet – that’s up to you.
If you’re not too great at construction – don’t worry! You can place a variety of characters in silly positions.

I found this:
“Solution to the SteamClient error: Real Time protection of antiviruses. After updating the game, turn off the real time protection of your antivirus, and if you are a Windows user, the Firewall real time protection too.

Also, after doing this, you might encounter a problem with the “Something Is Creating Script Errors” blip up top. Go to your GMod location -> garrysmod -> lua -> menu; here, extract the “errors.lua” file and keep it somewhere safe. We might need that later. If you want to investigate that file, edit it with WordPad, basically it is the script for the textbox of the errors (positioning, colors, text and the time between messages popping up).

ADMIN cannot solve it. On cracked games, the files that build the crack are made with the same method as viruses. For that, antiviruses stop them from working. Be sure to turn your Real-time protection back on after playing GMod. Have fun and Stay Safe!”
