guys..i have found a fix for crash to desktop… error message (the application has unexpectedly stopped working) for those who use rtx and gtx video cards
1.download Display Driver Uninstaller 2.download NVIDIA update 522.30 which contains mwfII fixes
3.go to safe mode, uninstall gpu driver, then restart in safe mode.
4.install driver 522.30 in safe modem then restart to normal mode.
5.reinstall the same driver (522.30), then go to NVIDIA control panel, manage 3d settings, program settings, select mwf2 game exe,and choose prefer maximum performance. set vertical sync to on.

I may have a fix (experimenting on my own) for this CTD case here.
Start the game with “Run StartGame.bat” in the game folder, then as soon as the intro finished, immediately run the game even if the game tells you to wait for shader opt to finish. Yes it will be quite a while to complete depends on your PC specs, but I was somehow got through and played the second mission already (you know, the black hawk down-kinda mission). Now my second problem is the infuriating cutscenes every time.
Still looking for the workaround tho..

1. Try using mw2.exe to play instead of cod.exe
2. People said that if you want the game to run, you have to have Ricochet AntiCheat installed, people said that they have it installed by downloading call of duty on Xbox app (25GB) and then it will automatically install the anti cheat driver. Then you can just delete that call of duty.
