If the game is crashing after the first use, this is a solution for computers below win10.

Go to C:\Users\[user_name]\AppData\LocalLow\Hovgaard Games\Big Ambitions\
copy SaveGames to an other folder to save your game data

Clean the files part:
1) delete the folder Hovgaard Games located in C:\Users\[user_name]\AppData\LocalLow\
2) if there’s a folder Hovgaard Games in C:\Users\[user_name]\AppData\Local, then delete it too
3) if there’s a folder Hovgaard Games in C:\Users\[user_name]\AppData\Local\temp delete it too
4) if you have nvidia, there’s a folder C:\Users\[user_name]\AppData\Local\Temp\NVIDIA Corporation\NV_Cache : delete all the files in this folder. Be careful to not delete any nvidia folders
5) delete the files in C:\Users\[user_name]\AppData\Local\CrashDumps
6) search on your computer regedit and open it with administration rights.
Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hovgaard : delete all of Hovgaard there. you can close regedit.
No need to restart the computer.

Empty the bin.

start the game again. If you followed everything the game is starting anew. As long as you don’t quit the game, it will work.
If the game is crashing again you may have forgotten to delete something above so you have to redo all the 6 steps of deletion

do as if you start the game anew. if the game was played before in normal mode, then select normal. if it’s easy then start in easy. At the screen to create the character, let the game running. Go to the explorer window or open a new explorer.

Go to your save folder of the game, the one you backed up earlier and copy it. (done before the deletion part)
Paste it in C:\Users\[user_name]\AppData\LocalLow\Hovgaard Games\Big Ambitions\

Go back to the game, click on “main menu” button on the left down corner of the screen, click on load, load your last save and enjoy.

you’ll have to do this every time you want to play the game.
