After receiving an SOS signal from the research complex “Vostok,” a brave polar explorer from the “Mirny” station rushes to the rescue. But what secrets are hidden behind the locked doors of this Antarctic base? Why did communication stop, and where did all the staff disappear? In “The Black Ice”, the protagonist must uncover many mysteries, face dangerous enemies, and keep his sanity.

The game is named after a rare geological phenomenon that forms under extreme conditions deep within Antarctic ice. This ice appears unusually black, possibly due to foreign particles of unknown, possibly cosmic, origin within its structure. For instance, traces of meteorite dust or other exotic materials that reached Earth millions of years ago and became trapped within glacial layers may be found here.
