The protagonist is a beastman who collapsed from overwork and quit his job. He is currently staying at a friend’s house in the lakeside village of Shunzhou.

One day, the protagonist discovers a lion beastman hiding in the shade, urinating. Upon closer inspection, it seems he was camping out. Feeling sorry for him, thinking he couldn’t afford to stay at an inn due to lack of money, the protagonist takes it upon himself to let him stay at his friend’s house.
